Choosing a Gas Grill

Choosing a gas grill is an important decision and some things to consider before you buy one include the type of gas are you going to use for the grill, propane or gas, the size of grill do u want a small portable one or a barbecue island, the features you want the grill go have, and what gas grill rating do you want (BTU rating).

Many grills come with the option of fueling it with natural gas or propane. If you choose the propane option you will not be able to switch it over to natural gas. Natural gas is not an option for smaller portable gas grills.

Gas grills come in many varieties and they include the Freestanding Open-Top Barbecues, Kettle Barbecues, Hooded Barbecues, and Permanent Brick Barbecues.

The freestanding barbecue is basically an open-hearth on wheels. You can get different features for this type of grill such as warming and storage areas as well as rotisseries it all depends on the size of the grill.

Kettle barbecues are small and portable and come with wheels for easy mobility. A wide range of accessories can be attached to the side of the kettle grill such as a tool rack or rotisseries.

Hooded barbecues are usually larger than kettle grills and are made of stainless steel. They also have a quite a few movable grates and side burners as well as main burners, preparation areas, and warming areas.

Permanent brick barbecues are perfect for people who barbecue a lot. This type of gas grill is basically a cheaper brand of outdoor grill that does not offer many features or accessories. It is an outdoor grill that you can design to fit your needs.

Before you buy a gas grill you need to decide what price you want to pay, what features you want to have on it. The larger the gas grill the more features will be available but remember you will have to pay an additional cost for those extra features.
